Can you bake eyepins that's embedded into Fimo?

I've been thinking of taking up a new hobby lately, making Fimo stuffs... Therefore it made sense to look up on it so I won't walk into a wall so to speak. I thought cupcake charms would be soooo cute to make and a great birthday present for a friend. Anyways I was wondering if you embed a eye pin (whatever theyre called) into the 'model' can you bake the fimo along with the pin or would the heat from the oven like melt it or something? I know I must sound like a clueless twit but please humour me. Any relevent answer is appreciated. Thank You!!
