Sodium hydroxide burn?

i was using sodium hydroxide in an experiment and got sodium hydroxide abit on my hand. it doesnt show any signs of burns from the outside, but i feel abit of hotness in the hand on the inside. anytrhing wrong, or am i just hallucinating(i think i am) this is the day after this incident and theres no sign of burn on hand just hot inside
