Is it normal for a dad to call his daughter a bit ch?

I have four sisters, and for our entire lives, my dad has been calling us names like twit, bit ch, asshole, dumbass, and telling us how much he hates us. I was wondering if this is normal in a family, and people just don't share it out loud?
