Xanax withdrawal symptoms ?

My mother was recently admitted into a local hospital after have a sezure, she arrived at around 6 pm and had a few more sezures throughout the night and the next day she seemed to be alot better and more like herself but the day after all the way up to today which has been three days she has been very confused and she is also hallucinating but no more sezures. The doctors say they still don't know what caused the sezures and is causing the hallucination but it but I'm almost certain it's the withdraw from her meds because she has abused prescription meda in the past and she was recently cut off of them completely. Could this be why she is still hallucinating?
